The Dance Remix of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" That All The Radio Stations Are Playing

If you're like me, you heard the album version of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" for the first time several months ago, and immediately found yourself wondering what all of the hype was about. I mean, it was kind of a dreary, depressing, total yawner of a song, right?

Then shortly thereafter you might have heard a much snappier version on the radio, complete with an uptempo dance beat, thumping bassline, hand claps, and a few other sonic embellishments. If you're like me, you found this version to be much more imminently listenable, and so you went directly to iTunes, Spotify, and pretty much every other music outlet known to mankind in an attempt to find this particular mix. Guess what? No dice.

So you either decided to live with the album version, or you just omitted the song from your playlist entirely. And every time you'd hear the "good" version on the radio, it was yet another extremely annoying reminder that for some inexplicable reason, this version was nowhere to be found on the interwebs.

Well, now that the song is several weeks months past its prime and hopelessy worn out (thanks to all the pop radio stations in America with a rotating playlist consisting of about 4 songs), I am happy to bring to you the long-lost dance remix. It was created by an electronica producer who goes by the name of DJ Mike D and can be played/downloaded below. You're welcome! :)

....and here's a video version as well:

If, like me, you've been searching high and low for this mix... please let me know in a comment so I know I'm not the only one! :)
